Celebrating our 20th Birthday

20 Years ago Mr Joe Mancu form the community started helping pets by handing out food and dipping them in a bath tub to rid them of ticks and fleas. This man's efforts is what started the Mdzananda Animal Clinic and was the seed of everything good happening at Mdzananda today. This year, in celebration of our 20th birthday, we hosted our very first Gala Dinner where we invited new friends to join us into the next 20 years. Tony finds his forever home

Many of you will remember our desperate appeal put our for Tony in our last month's newsletter - a young boy who had been in our kennels for many months and who was becoming very depressed. We found him a wonderful foster home but his time ran out as his foster parents could no longer keep him. We appealed for a new foster home or forever home as we did not want to put him back into a shelter after knowing the love of a family. And then it happened! His forever mommy called! Melanie and her family went to meet Tony at his foster home - they fell in love. A week later he entered his forever home. Thank you Melanie for turning this boy's life around!

Burnie the cat - from agony to angel!

Burnie arrived at the Mdzananda Animal Clinic all by himself. He knew where to find help but he was terrified of humans. For three weeks we could hear Burnie's call. He had crawled under our pharmacy shipping container to hide. No amount of luring could bring Burnie out from under the container. We simply left food for him overnight and hoped that soon he would allow us to help him. Promise, one of our Animal Welfare Assistants, had tried to lure Burnie out every day. Second Hand Clothing Sale!

Mouth watering, hand crafted Christmas Cake Raffle

Crafted and baked by lovely Barbara from Fishhoek, this fantastic Christmas cake is being raffled until the 30th of November. Get your raffle entries for just R10 per entry.
