What one man can do is dream. What one man can do is love. What one man can do is change the world. - John Denver Twenty Christmases ago ONE man changed the world. Maybe not our whole world but the world of each and every pet in Khayelitsha. One man went from door to door feeding, bathing and dipping pets. This one man’s love was the best Christmas gift that Khayelitsha pets could every have wished for. Today I look back and I ask myself, “What would have happened if Mr Joe did not feel love for animals so many years ago? Would Mdzananda exist today?” I cannot imagine our community without Mdzananda. What would have happened to the animals that have entered our operating theat

Awesome volunteers doing awesome things

With an extremely generous donation from the Dogs Trust UK we received enough funds to purchase a veterinary practice management system and computers to implement this system. This system will enable us to digitally record every patient that comes through our doors. Our current manual paper filing system will change into a super digital filing system helping us to more accurately record statistics and patient history for future treatments. The challenge lies with computer literacy. For this system to be used to its best capacity our staff all need to be computer literate. A wonderful volunteer Mariette Maddis has been coming to Mdzananda to do basic computer training with our staff. Not on
