A young cat named Titi was brought to Mdzananda in a distressed state, struggling to breathe. After she was stabalised, further investigation showed that she had a tummy full of bone fragments which were not moving down her digestive tract. These were putting pressure on her lung space making it difficult and painful to breathe.
Titi was operated on to remove the bone fragments and her breathing returned to normal. She went home a couple of days after the operation. Our veterinarian, Dr Friedl, said that she was the best cat patient ever - she always had a twinkle in her eye and wanted to come for a cuddles even though she was in pain.
