Juice loses a leg due to bone cancer

Juice has been a regular patient over the past couple of months. This young boy developed bone cancer in his right front elbow and came to Mdzananda for medication on a regular basis. Unfortunately the medication was not helping and, due to the aggressive nature of the cancer, the only option left for him was to amputate his leg. The very next day after the operation Juice was up on all three legs, moving around happily without seeming to notice one of his limbs were missing. He stayed with us for a total of three weeks to be monitored and to ensure that he got sufficient cage rest. Initially there was some resistance from the son of the family to take him home. He did not want a dog with only three legs. The mother and head of the family was however adamant that she loved him no matter what. He returned home and will be coming back for check ups to monitor his progress.
