We won R100 000 from MySchool thanks to your nominations
In celebration of its 21st anniversary last year, the MySchool MyVillage MyPlanet community loyalty programme launched the ‘21 years of Giving Back’ campaign with R2.1 million to give away to 21 causes. Supporters were invited to nominate any South African charitable organisation or school that matters to them. This has enabled 21 charities and schools across the country to each win a cash donation of R100 000 and the Mdzananda Animal Clinic is one of them! The ‘21 Years of Giving Back’ campaign inspired more than 11 500 MySchool MyVillage MyPlanet cardholders to put forward their nominations of the causes close to their hearts and give them the chance to substantially boost their fundraising. Thanks to the customers who nominated Mdzananda, we will be able to purchase R100 000's worth of medication and medical consumables to treat the injured and sick pets of Khayelitsha. The panel of judges had strict criteria for evaluating the many worthy nominations, which included assessing organisational impact and sustainability, as well as looking for beneficiaries who are well-aligned to the brand ethos and the concerns of the customers. That search resulted in a wonderful spectrum of winners, big and small, working across all South Africa’s provinces with different, important mandates. If you are not yet a cardholder, you can sign up for free at www.myschool.co.za and make sure to list Mdzananda Animal Clinic as your beneficiary. Every time you swipe your card a percentage of your purchase will be donated to us.
