Awesome volunteers doing awesome things

With an extremely generous donation from the Dogs Trust UK we received enough funds to purchase a veterinary practice management system and computers to implement this system. This system will enable us to digitally record every patient that comes through our doors. Our current manual paper filing system will change into a super digital filing system helping us to more accurately record statistics and patient history for future treatments. The challenge lies with computer literacy. For this system to be used to its best capacity our staff all need to be computer literate. A wonderful volunteer Mariette Maddis has been coming to Mdzananda to do basic computer training with our staff. Not only is this benefiting our clinic - it is also greatly enhancing the personal skills that each staff member has. A group of staff from Old Mutual put their heads, hearts and funds together and organised a donation drive to help provide items needed by the Mdzananda Animal Clinic. Toni Pluke and her fantastic friends have been absolutely amazing in collecting donations for Mdzananda. This wonderful team has collected food, medical supplies, washing powder and so much more for Mdzananda by putting in hard work, time and passion. These are just to name a few! A great big thank you to Ushandra Mansfield for being the Kitty Taxi, to Sanelize Perdomo and Jane Musapatika for setting up our stand at Muizenberg Dog Show and to all our other wonderful volunteers who have been helping us so much. Your help is instrumental to the well being of Mdzananda.
