We won R100 000 from MySchool thanks to your nominations

Stray dogs saved thanks to the public and partners

Mdzananda has been caring for injured, sick and abused pets for the last 23 years. On Monday the 20th of May the Clinic experienced a very difficult challenge. Our NPO clinic, built to be a veterinary hospital, had 37 stray dogs at our facility - we can only cater for a maximum of 15 stray dogs at a time. Being over-capacity by 250%, with twenty two dogs more than we could cater for, we had to consider putting these animals to sleep. As we have never had to put an animal to sleep due to over-capacity, and it is not something we do wish to do, we put out an appeal for assistance. People stepped in to help from every corner of Cape Town. We want to thank everyone who assisted! To date: 16
